Streets Of New York: Summer Hair
The fashion capital of the world (wait, is that Paris? -- well, at least of America) has also got a head up on some pretty amazing summer hair styles.
Below, I've documented a few of my favorite manes of the week:
Leslie Arfin of the now defunct Missbehave Magazine, behaving in Soho with hot pink tips and dark roots. Now this is what I call hipster-chic hair with personality.
Handbag designer Rebecca Minkoff in her studio rocking summer's trendiest style: the braid. Pictured here pulled back into a low pony, a cute, fun way to keep the heat from getting the best of your tresses.
Staci from Tauk in Montauk sporting some fierce highlights courtesy of Jean-Marc at the Rick Pipino Salon in NYC. This is how you fake beach blonde.
Jewelry designer Zani Gugelmann at the downtown Standard Hotel proving that brunettes can have fun too. I love how sunkissed her golden highlights are and how they add warmth to her tanned complexion. It's all very subtle and au naturel.
Fat Jew - that's his Rap name, I didn't catch the real one - showing off an afro (all real) and a throwback to fanny packs. I just couldn't resist the sexiness! Take that, Justin Timberlake.
