Simone Biles collected her third gold medal of the 2016 Olympics in Rio on Sunday. The 19-year-old won the top prize on the vault. She is the first American to do it.

Biles scored a 15.966. She lead her closest competitor, silver medalist Maria Paseka, by a 0.713-point margin--a stunning defeat in gymnastics.

The four-foot-eight inch dynamo completed two of gymnastics' most difficult vaults: the Amanar and the Cheng.

Biles is the first female gymnast from the U.S. to take home three gold medals in the same Olympics. She is one of only three gymnasts to win three gold medals. The other two who've accomplished the same feat are her teammates, Aly Raisman and Gabby Douglas.

She still has an opportunity to win two more medals when she competes in the event finals for balance beam on Monday and floor exercise on Tuesday.
